Emma Billings - a day in the life

Welcome to our fourth Day in the Life film with our lovely friend Emma Billings of Manby Grange Farm, near Louth.

Emma and her family breed and rear pedigree Limousin cattle - you can find out more about their farm at Emma farms with her husband Mark and son Billy and also works part-time for the local vet, Molly McKay.

The Manby Grange herd is a high health status herd, breeding heifers and bulls for sale; the stock are bred for a good quiet temperament and ease of calving.

Watch as Emma introduces us to her cows and calves and the new, bull "Oracle", the first one they've bought in for 25 years. The family's aim is to breed towards the French Limousin standard and they're hoping that his first calves, which will be born this winter, will prove their decision to buy him was a good one.

Emma says: "We work very closely with our vet who is Molly McKay. We are so lucky to have Molly as, although an awesome vet, she is also a community vet: she is proud to be part of the Lincolnshire community and she does so much for the farmers as well as looking after their animals."

Thank you, Emma, Mark and Billy for allowing us to visit the farm and we wish you luck for the future.
