LRSN training on Depression and Anxiety awareness

On Saturday morning, November 29th, LRSN welcomed Dr Roger Bretherton to their training session on Depression and Anxiety Awareness at the Lincoln Hotel, Lincoln.

Volunteers from LRSN, together with staff, trustees, Nottingham Rural Support, the Methodist Church and RABI listened to Roger deliver an excellent presentation on understanding the causes and signs of depression and anxiety. Roger really knew his subject and connected to his audience giving everyone such a lot of information, but put across with such enthusiasm that it left most of us hungry to learn more! A further training session with Roger is now in the planning stages for next year’s training session to take the subject further with the psychological ingredients that allow individuals and communities to thrive and flourish.

“Thanks so much (Roger) on behalf of all of us for your excellent training session on Saturday morning. “ Alison Twiddy, Project Manager LRSN

“Wasn’t it helpful, I feel much more positive about understanding folk in such a predicament.”

LRSN Helpliner

“Saturday morning really filled a gap in my knowledge and understanding and I really enjoyed it, so a chance to do more would be excellent.”
