The Second Lincolnshire Rural Charities Dinner raises over £42,000!

On the 7th April 2016 the second "Lincolnshire Rural Charities Dinner" was held in the magnificent setting of the Epic Centre on the Lincolnshire Showground; and what a memorable night it was!

The evening was a fantastic success raising over £40K for four great Lincolnshire Charities – LRSN, the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust and the Lincolnshire Agricultural Chaplaincy.

The aim of the Dinner was to have a true and proper celebration of all things Lincolnshire, produce and food, whilst highlighting the services of the four charities. We have already had some wonderful feedback from guests at the dinner which we are delighted to have received.

We cannot thank our sponsors, suppliers and guests enough for entering into the spirit of the evening from the purely magical and mad moments of Sean Sparling, the MC and Magician, to the heart rendering real life stories in the films and our speaker James Chapman MBE, with a wonderful tasting menu in between designed by Colin McGurran, the well-known AA 5* Winteringham Fields Chef Patron, who introduced each course with a presentation of information and anecdotes around the provenance of the ingredients. Colin has a renowned passion for local produce and provides his guests with a five star dining experience at Winteringham Fields.  Colin's unique approach to producing excellent food provided us with a delicious menu full of Lincolnshire's finest produce.

Everyone’s generosity and contribution in every way helped to raise this humbling and amazing amount of money and is a testament to their commitment to Lincolnshire’s agricultural industry and all those who work within it so thank you to everyone for supporting us with this event.
