On the 15th May 2015, Lincolnshire Rural Support Network (LRSN) and Woldmarsh Producers Ltd hosted our “Annual Charity Golf Day” at Blankney Golf Club, raising approximately £5,200 for LRSN. Important information from the NFU- The BPS process

The NFU has advised that the RPA are now sending out claim forms- the application process has begun so they are urging everyone to make sure that they have registered with the RPA as there are still 12% of claimants  in our region that need to register on the new system. The NFU went on to say that "Over 70,000 pre-populated BPS forms have been sent out this week via email by the RPA to farmer claimants. This heralds the start of the BPS paper based application. On the 12th April 2015, LRSN and the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance co-hosted our “Lincolnshire Rural Charities Race Day” at Market Rasen Racecourse in the Brocklesby suite. We are delighted to welcome Dr Annie Borrill who is our new Medical Director. Annie was brought up on the family farm at Hibaldstow near Brigg. Studying Medicine at Newcastle University Annie trained to become a GP and has been a GP partner in Epworth, North Lincs since 2001. Annie is married to Nigel Johnson, a pig, poultry and arable farmer and lives in Belton, North Lincolnshire. On the 27th October 2014, we hosted our AGM, Reception and Charity Auction in the beautiful Coach House at Doddington Hall, courtesy of James and Claire Birch.Over 100 guests joined us for the AGM, led by Chairman Meryl Ward, followed by a drinks reception where guests could meet many friends and colleagues from within Lincolnshire’s agricultural industry. Brown and Co Charity Quiz raises £500 for LRSN

Brown & Co Property and Business Consultants in Spalding held a charity quiz on Monday evening at Vine House Farm, Deeping St. Nicholas. The weather was glorious and the venue was beautiful with a tasty hog roast for all to enjoy. The event was strongly supported by over 100 farmers and local businesses.
