Families walk the “Worzel Walk” for James and LRSN

A big thank you to everyone who took part in the LRSN “Worzel Walk”!!

On Sunday, 1st June 2014 over 110 people, and many dogs, took part in the Lincolnshire Rural Charities Network (LRSN) “Worzel Walk” in memory of James ‘Worzel’ Worthington. Starting from Swallow Village Hall in Lincolnshire and raising over £3100 for LRSN a wonderful day was enjoyed by the many families, friends and colleagues of James’s. As the walkers crossed the finish line they settled down to share picnics and enjoy the glorious weather.

The walk was in memory of James ‘Worzel’ Worthington, a trustee of the charity who died suddenly in September 2013.  James was a young solicitor specialising in agricultural law, working with Langleys of Lincoln, and his contribution and commitment to LRSN was extremely valued and he is greatly missed.

The money generously donated in James’s memory will help LRSN, a charity that James contributed much to, support rural families throughout Lincolnshire during periods of anxiety, stress and problems relating to their families and businesses.

Donations given in memory of James can still be made through the LRSN Just Giving page http://www.justgiving.com/lrsn-worzelwalk. but we would like to thank everyone for making this day so special.
