LRSN's 2017 AGM Reception, AGM and Charity Auction: New format this year!

Join us for our AGM Reception, Annual General Meeting and Charity Auction at 6.30pm on 30th October 2017 at the Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground, courtesy of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society.

This annual event is a wonderful opportunity to meet friends and colleagues from Lincolnshire’s agricultural and horticultural community and to enjoy a very entertaining occasion, so please join us with your colleagues, friends and family and learn all about our work this year, our plans for the future and to give us your support.

We are very pleased to introduce Dr Roger Bretherton, Principal Lecturer (Enterprise), School of Psychology, at the University of Lincoln, as our guest speaker this year. Roger worked as a clinician, manager and trainer in the NHS for over a decade, and joined the University of Lincoln in 2007, where he specialises in coaching and positive psychology. He consults extensively in both public and commercial sectors, and has delivered keynote addresses to leaders in venues as varied as the University of Oxford, the Royal Albert Hall and the Hammersmith Apollo. His current research, funded by the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education (LFHE), is entitled, ‘Are Humble Leaders Better Leaders?’ LRSN has been working with Roger over the last year, upskilling our caseworkers in Solution Focused Conversation, so we look forward to welcoming him to our AGM and hearing all about his latest work.

The evening has a new format this year. We would like to invite you for a Drinks Reception at 6.30pm, courtesy of Tom Wood of the Yarborough Hunt, served with canapés by Becky Miller, kindly sponsored by Springfields House Association. This will be followed by our AGM and Guest Speaker from 7.30pm and then our popular and entertaining Charity Auction, led by local auctioneer Mike Perkins from Perkins, George Mawer and Co. The Charity Auction is one of our major fundraising events in the LRSN calendar and there will be many interesting auction promises to bid for, so don’t miss out!

We are also looking for offers of Auction Lots for the charity auction, so if you have anything that you would like to donate please let us know!!
